Robert Frost is said to have said, "Writing free
verse is like playing tennis with the net down."
Well Bobby, I have had much fun doing both.

A lovely lady once asked me for lessons. I brought
my balls to her court, found it long neglected. Its
surface was pitted, lines fading, obscured by moss,
The backstops were intact, though the net was not just down, but gone!

The lady dispelled my dismay with a sensible
suggestion, "Let's pretend all is ok and look
past the imperfection. After all, we're only here
to play." In her logic and abbreviated attire she
was persuasive, completely convincing!

We played, lobbing balls back and forth with
rousing repartee. When presently we paused,
no need to ask, we knew the score. Love! Love!

PISCES OUTLOOK

You may ask and I will say that I have concern
for those who enjoy ill health or unhappiness  
but I choose not to be one of them.

We do choose our feelings, anger, fear, sadness,
hope and happiness. Each appropriate at times to
experience our humanity, to motivate others to
modify their behavior or appreciate their blessings.

I know there is depravity and depression enough
in this world to sadden the Saints.
Yet we can choose happiness if we will. Perhaps we should let the rest of the Zodiac know about this.
